Warehouse Roundtable Discussion Group

Design and operation of warehouse facilities is one of our key focus areas. How can technology be leveraged to aid the designer and also to aid in operational management of these facilities. We have involved a number of industry partners in an on-going discussion group that seeks to frame the issues and make progress toward improving the state-of-the-art in this area.

Virtual Factory Focus Groups

In doing so, we have invited a number of industry representatives to attend focus groups. In these focus groups, the involved faculty briefly present the background behind the Virtual Factory Lab, and then together with the industry representatives, conduct structured brainstorming sessions to define urgent problem areas and assess the types of technologies which should be purchased or developed in the Virtual Factory Lab to address problems within these areas.
