and Operations Research. Manufacturing systems are an important application
area for the methodologies taught in the ISyE curriculum.

programs in the area of logistics and operations. Manufacturing logistics
is a key focus area.

performs a variety of manufacturing-related research.
Modeling and Simulation Research
and Education Center. The Modeling and Simulation Research and
Education Center is a multi-disciplinary center at Tech that promotes
the use of simulation.
Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing
Institute. RPMI features an industry consortium devoted to the
development and application of existing and emerging technologies
in the area of rapid product and process prototyping and manufacturing.
It features a lab used for research and instructional purposes.
Robotics@GaTech. The
Robotics Initiative provides an umbrella organization for robotics-related
research and education at Georgia Tech.
